Hearts of Oak to axe nine players at the end of the season

Ghana Premier League club Hearts of Oak will part with nine players at the end of the season.

Hearts of Oak have are set to axe nine players from their first team at the end of the ongoing

According to Graphic Sports the said players include, skipper Roben Gnange, deputy skipper Owusu Bempah, Sabbah Laryea and Ollenu Ashittey whose contracts are expected to run out at the end of the ongoing campaign and before they get a new deal their performances will be taken into consideration.

“We are reviewing the capacity and performance of each player in the team and I can assure you that nine players will be on their way at the end of the season because their contracts have ended,” a source close to the club is quoted by Graphic Sports.

“The decision to retain them will depend on the final appraisal by the coach. We shall keep those that we have to keep and release those who are not pulling their weight. Probably they will do better somewhere why not,” he added.

The Phobians currently are second on the log sheet with 39 points and this Saturday they will be hosting Techiman City on match day 24.
