How Sergio Traguil could push Kenichi Yatsuhashi out
The truth behind Sergio Traguil appointment at Hearts of Oak according to a source close to the new youth coach.
Despite the name, he is more of a Guardiola type of coach than Mourinho. His methodology is very close to Barca's tiki taka and its more close to Guardiola.
"He plays beautiful attacking football, and intends to change Hearts' style of play to suit himself. Ghanaians will see a good Hearts Oak team. He will win many titles here," the source said.
In Ghana, the Football Association have no competitions for youth teams, and it is startling to be told that a man appointed (he is yet to sign any contract though) to develop young talents to be infused into the main team will 'win titles.'
According to Accra Hearts of Oak, Sergio Daniel Traguil and his assistant Elton Nunes (expected to arrive in Ghana on Tuesday June 21) will develop a strong youth team from which players would be trapped into the first team.
However, the source says otherwise.
"The secret plan of Hearts Board is to pressure the sack and the departure of Mr. Kenichi. Most of you (media) know the truth, but Hearts are only being diplomatic about it.
"Is it normal for a Coach to take over two teams and coordinate all scouting, plus bring an assistant?” he quizzed.
"Hearts of Oak Board have serious issues with Mr. Kenichi. The photos of them (Kenichi and his technical team and Sergio Traguil) together was only to stop press speculations. Hearts of Oak players know that the Portuguese arrived to take over soon; the secret plan is prepare Coach Sérgio to take over and bring his full project to the club.
On Saturday, Pulse.com.gh gathered that the agent of Sergio Traguil, Carlos Moniz was contacted by Uganda giants, Sports Villa, seeking the services of the former, but they were told he is a Hearts coach now.
There were also contacts from Sporting Carbinda of Angola, but the agent insists he is engaged.
And that led to the question; "Do you think if it was not for head Coach position, he would say no to Sports Villa from Uganda or Sporting Cabinda from Angola?"
Sergio Traguil will begin work on Monday June 20, but is unclear how soon he will take over the senior coaching responsibilities. However it is understood the club will understudy Kenichi and his team for the first three weeks of the second round of the 2016 Ghana Premier League.
His assistant Elton Nunes will arrive in Ghana on Tuesday.
