A statement on the GFA’s website said the decision affects both the men’s and women’s national teams.
In this vein, other national team coaches and their respective staff have been relieved off their positions.
Highlighting the shortfalls of the Ghanaian coach, Mr Nyaho-Tamakloe was emphatic that the former skipper of the national team does not possess the leadership skill to steer the affairs of the team.
He told JoyNews on Friday: “Kwesi Appiah, the problem with him that I noticed early on is that he might probably have all the experience and technical know-how but he hasn’t got that leadership skill. He is a leader and a leader must be seen to be a leader.
“He hasn’t got the charisma; he can’t command and if you are a leader and you can’t command you must as well leave the space.”
Kwasi Appiah has been under scrutiny ever since the Black Stars failed to hit targeted heights at the AFCON 2019 tournament in Egypt.
After suffering elimination at the hands of Tunisia, many were the calls that the axe should be wielded on the former Ghana skipper.
