GFA has not discussed replacing Avram Grant

The GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi has disclosed that his association has not discussed at a meeting to part ways with the Black Stars coach Avram Grant

Media reports circulating say the management committee of the Black Stars have held series of meetings considering parting ways with the 61-year-old Israeli trainer due to recent poor run of results in recent times.

But Nyantakyi has indicated that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has no such intention at the moment to replace Avram Grant.


“We have not discussed at any meeting to replace Avram Grant. Maybe be it would be done in the future, but at the moment our focus is on the 2017 to be staged in Gabon.

“We have to plan well and ensure we present the best of players available. I said at recently that is going for the because won it in 2013, while did it in 2015, so 2017 is the turn of Ghana-These are the three power houses in ” he told members of the GFA at Congress at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence at Prampram.
