Saddick Adams states what motivated Kotoko to win the trophy

Saddick Adams states being in the final with Hearts was enough to ginger his side to victory

Saddick Adams and his side Kotoko all season long has come under immense criticism after putting up underwhelming performances which saw the Porcupine Warriors finish 5th in the just ended 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League.

Speaking to the media after the game the former Ghana U-17 star made the statement that the mere fact of Kotoko being in the finals with arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak was enough to get his side to win the ultimate.

“Our motivation was being in the final. It’s the first time Accra Hearts of Oak has faced Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a competitive cup final for a while.

“So our motivation was to be in the final and at the end of the day we were champions.”

Kotoko now qualify to the CAF confederation Cup after this cup triumph. The Porcupine Warriors will definitely appreciate such an end to the season after going through torrid times in the year 2017.
