Head pastor of Glorious Wave International Church, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has prophesized that Ghana will fail to win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Ghana was the first country to reach at least the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations for six consecutive times from 2008 to 2017, but has failed to win the continental showpiece since 1982.

Ghanaians will be counting on the Black Stars to end the 37 year wait for a continental trophy since Libya 1982, but the controversial prophet has predicted doom for the Black Stars.

“The Black Stars would not win the Africa Cup of Nations this year” he stated adding that even the effort by the Normalisation Committee to restore football in the country may not yield any positive outcome.

Prophet Kobi said football can only be restored in the country after 2020 and did not forsee the game taking shape in 2019.

“Last year I said on a TV interview that Ghana football would go down and I advised Kwesi Nyantakyi to step down but he didn’t mind me until Anas exposed him” the preacher said and emphasized that his prophecy must not be taken lightly.

The pastor who said he had given a lot of prophecies that had come to pass also said the country may lose one of its former players who played for the Black Stars several years ago.

Although he failed to reveal the identity of the particular player who would die, the pastor hinted that the said player played in the era of Tony Yeboah and Abedi Pele.
