‘We’ll try to consolidate our strength': Didi dramani says ahead of Samartex clash
Hearts of Oak head coach Diddy Dramani has highlighted the importance of consolidating his team’s strengths while managing the threats posed by opponents as the Phobians prepare for another crucial Ghana Premier League (GPL) fixture.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming clash, Dramani explained:
I think that we know what threats they have, and then we also know what strength we have in our team, and then we try to consolidate our strength, and then also manage the opponent's capabilities.
This statement reflects Dramani’s philosophy of balancing offensive ambition with defensive awareness, ensuring that Hearts of Oak play to their strengths while mitigating the advantages of their adversaries.
The Phobians have faced mixed results this season but remain a formidable side, especially at home, making strategic planning critical in each match. Dramani further elaborated on the steps his team is taking to prepare for the game:
So, what you need to do is just make sure that the players are getting better, recovering, and then we are going to raise their endurance sustenance. And then, from a tactical point of view, we try as much as possible to iron out the areas that we need to improve. We are a team that is work in progress. That means that we want to continuously develop, and we want to improve so many aspects of our play.
The Ghana Premier League has become increasingly competitive, with clubs like Asante Kotoko, Aduana Stars, and FC Samartex challenging at the top.
Hearts of Oak’s focus on both consolidating internal strengths and neutralizing opponents’ threats is a strategic approach aimed at sustaining their title ambitions and achieving consistency across fixtures.
By combining tactical analysis, physical conditioning, and team cohesion, Dramani hopes Hearts of Oak can maintain their competitive edge.
