Video: Hearts fans booed players as they attempted to assault them after 1-1 against Elmina Sharks

Hearts fans held players hostage in the dressing room for almost an hour after they were held to a 1-1 draw against Elmina Sharks on matchday 12 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The fans who were not happy with the performance of the playing body of the Phobians charged at them and made several attempts to beat them up, but the police intervened and prevented them from being assaulted.

The supporters waited for the team just outside the dressing expecting them to step out for them to lay a finger on them to pour out their displeasure over their poor display against Elmina Sharks

The players left the stadium through the back door at one of the entrances near the Osu Cemetery.

In the Dennis Mensah scored a thunderbolt to put the visitors into the lead after 25 minutes before Kofi Kordzi leveled with a powerful header in the 38th minute.

Hearts of Oak have been poor this season at the Accra Sorts Stadium, having won two, lost two and draw two of their six games in front of their fan.
