1970 Plymouth Superbird 200mph NASCAR Racer

NASCAR icon Richard Petty hasn’t driven his 1970 Superbird stock car since the end of the 1970 season, but as he is a regular at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and he’s about to fire her up next month.

The legendary car, which that gave a character to Pixar’s Cars, one of the most famous cars in racing history.

Petty says the car was so stable at high speeds that it was almost impossible to spin, and that's not hard to believe - it has a bigger wing than the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
