A Parliamentary candidate aspirant in the ongoing Ablekuma West New Patriotic Party (NPP) primary, Robert Kwesi Heyfron Nicol has said he is the best candidate to represent the party in the November 7 polls.
In an exclusive interview with Pulse.com.gh, Mr. Nicol who is contesting against the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Ursula Owusu-Ekuful said he has a large following and is thus confident of winning the primary.
“I know I’ve worked hard and the delegates will vote for me,” he said.
The elections in the constituency delayed for about nine months due to a contention over the voters register.
The third aspirant, Theophilus Tetteh refused to participate in the elections after failing to appear before the vetting committee.
According to Mr. Nicol, he had no qualms with the voters register and asked for reconciliation among all feuding members of the NPP in the constituency.
“We all belong to one party and we must remember that this is just the beginning so we must stay focused, united and wrestle power from the NDC,” he advised.
He added that “Ghanaians are crying out for change and we have a very short time to campaign. Let’s make sure we get our flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo elected.”
