'Victory will be mine next time' - Nicol

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate aspirant in the Ablekuma West constituency, Robert Nicol has accepted defeat.

He polled 317 votes while the incumbent MP, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful had 554 votes.

Early on, his campaign manager threatened that his candidate will not accept the election results following the appearance of three new voters register.

But in an interview with Pulse.com.gh after the election results were declared, Mr. Nicol said: “We all know that sometimes, things will go your way and sometimes, things will not go as we planned but I know that next time, victory will be mine.”

According to him, he trusts the election process which took place on Saturday saying, “nothing went wrong. In election, you win some, you lose some. I lost today but God willing, next time, I will win.”

Asked what the future holds for him, the defeated parliamentary candidate aspirant said he will now focus on “rallying support for Nana Akufo-Addo so that we can get the maximum numbers to make Nana Akufo-Addo the President.”
