Mother of Samuel Nuamah, the Ghanaian Times journalist who died in the presidential press corps accident has spoken for the first time after her son's death

"I haven't been well lately; I was taking my medication when the young one told me.  I became distraught and I wailed. Nuamah's mother said. "I saw him about a week ago. He brought his young boy to visit from Tema."

She spoke to journalists when some government officials and the National Media Commission paid a visit to the deceased family

Nuamah lost his life while several others were injured in Thursday afternoon's fatal accident involving the presidential corps.

It has emerged that the van was a commercial vehicle procured by the presidency without due process on the condition of the van.
