Asamoah Gyan is saddened by the Black Stars inability to shine in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Gabon.

Ghana's quest to win their first gold in the continental showpiece since 1982 in the AFCON 2017 became a mission impossible as they finished fourth and even missed out on the bronze medal.
Asamoah Gyan, the skipper of the team believes the Black Stars had a disappointing campaign in Gbaon.

“It is very disappointing, we wanted to win the trophy, we did everything we could but luck was not on our side,” he spoke to the press.
“Coming into the tournament, our target was to win the trophy. We wanted to end the 35 year jinx but it didn’t happen and we are all disappointed.
“Ghanaians expected much from us but we disappointed again and is very sad.
