Now Ghana-Uganda are set to meet again, but you can’t talk about the upcoming game without the key actors on the pitch ( I mean the players).

Pulse Sports ahead of the game has spotted four players (two from each side), that will play a crucial role in Tuesday’s encounter.

Asamoah Gyan – Ghana captain

The Al Ahli forward will make his sixth Afcon appearance since making his tournament debut in 2008, Gyan has so far scored 11 goals in five different Afcon tourney. He will be leading Ghana’s attacking line and he has huge responsibilities on his shoulders as the Black Stars will be looking forward in ending their 35-year Afcon drought but they have to start it with a win against Uganda.

Andrew Aye w – Ghana deputy skipper

Since Andre Ayew made his debut for Ghana in 2008, he has since then becomes one of the dependable players in the Black Stars set up.

The last edition of the Afcon championship, he propelled Ghana to the finals but they lost the trophy to Ivory Coast after a penalty shoot-out. In 2014, Ayew scored from the spot to earn a draw for Ghana against Uganda at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in 2015 Afcon qualifier.

Ayew is expected to play a key role for the West African giants when they come up against the Cranes of Uganda.

Denis Onyango

Onyango last year helped Mamelodi Sundowns to win their first ever African champions League, and last at week’s CAF awards he was named 2016 best player based in Africa following his stellar displays.

The 29 year-old is expected to replicate that form against Ghana at Stade de Port-Gentil.

Geoffrey Massa named went into the history books of Uganda, when he led the Cranes to qualify for the Afcon for the first time in 38 years.
