African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re) holds Agriculture Insurance Workshop in Accra
The African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re) is pleased to announce its upcoming Agriculture Insurance Workshop, to be held in Accra, Ghana, from July 10-12, 2024, at the Labadi Beach Hotel. This significant event aims to introduce innovative agriculture insurance solutions and promote increased investments in the sector to drive sustainable and profitable growth across West Africa.
Though the agricultural sector in West Africa holds immense potential, stakeholders, including but not limited to farmers, insurers, financiers still face huge challenges. These include weather conditions, insecurity, a shortage of agriculture underwriting expertise and technological constraints to mention just but a few
During the three-day workshop, attendees will have the chance to engage with industry experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to explore solutions and share best practices from other African markets. The workshop’s primary objectives are to enhance the skills and capabilities needed to offer agriculture insurance solutions and to foster a more robust and resilient agricultural insurance landscape in the region.
