Patrick Twumasi joins Spanish La Liga side

The Ghanaian attacker has completed his switch from Astana Kazakh to Deportivo Alaves.

Patrick Twumasi has sealed a deal with Deportivo Alaves in the Spanish La Liga.

Twumasi, 24 has been outstanding in the Kazakhstan toplight league, having been instrumental in Astana’s league triumphs lately.

His performance has attracted interest from several clubs in the top European leagues, with La Liga side winning the race to land his signature.

Kazakhstan side FC Astana on Friday for a reported 3 million euros.

“Deportivo Alaves has closed the incorporation of Patrick Twumasi for the next 4 seasons,” Deportivo Alaves said in a statement on Friday night.

“The right-winger comes from FC Astana and joins the ranks of the albiazul entity as the 4th signing of the 2018/19 season.”

Twumasi joins his compatriot Mubarak Wakaso at the club that have big ambitions for the coming season in the La Liga.

Twumasi leaves FC Astana after three years at the club. He played 29 games during the last campaign, 15 of them in the domestic competition and 14 between in  the Qualifying Phase of the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League and scored a total of 18 goals.

Patrick Twumasi has also featured three times for the Black Stars of Ghana.
