South African cricket was rocked when former Proteas spinner Gulam Bodi was given a 20-year ban by Cricket South Africa (CSA) in January after admitting to "contriving or attempting to fix matches" in the 2015 Ram Slam Twenty20 tournament.

Wisden India on Thursday claimed ex-South Africa opening batsman Petersen is one of five Highveld Lions players under investigation.

But the 35-year-old has hit back, strongly denying any wrongdoing.
