Art collector loses handbag containing £4M to robbers

An undisclosed  art collector was on Thursday robbed of nearly $5.4 million worth of Chanel jewels.

The robbery took place while her taxi was stuck in traffic in the Landy Tunnel, which is notorious for robbery attacks.

They smashed rear window of vehicle before running away with handbag.

According to Agence France-Presse, the lady also claimed she was on her way to loan some of the items at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris. A claim which has been denied by the museum.

French police are hunting three perpetrators who carried out the act.
