Rain has led to Australia's one-day international tri-series clash against South Africa being abandoned in Bridgetown.

Only one over was bowled – South Africa were 8-0 after being put in to bat – at Kensington Oval on Sunday.

While the outfield was playable, a wet pitch meant play was unable to resume, leaving both teams taking home two points.

That leaves South Africa top of the tri-series table on 12 points, ahead of Australia (11) and hosts West Indies (eight).

The Windies play Australia on Tuesday before facing South Africa three days later, with the top two to meet in the final.
