Bangladesh rule out neutral venue for England tour

Bangladesh have no intention of playing their upcoming home series against England at a neutral venue despite recent attacks in Dhaka.

England are due to play three one-day internationals and two Tests during their tour in October, with the capital Dhaka set to host three of the five matches.

However, an attack that left 20 dead earlier this month led to England ODI captain Eoin Morgan calling the incident a "big concern" and suggesting a neutral venue could be an option.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury says the hosts will not consider that, though, and the games will go ahead as planned.

"We always believe this [a neutral venue] is never a solution. Cricket cannot stop in a country," he told a media conference.

"The cricket operations of both BCB and ECB are in continuous communication regarding the England tour of Bangladesh in October.

"They are in discussion with the tour-related matters, especially the logistics.

"A security delegate from England was supposed to come last month, but as they have a tour of India after Bangladesh, I think they will do the security inspection of the two countries together.

"We have very good track record of hosting successful international events with the support from the government and the law enforcement departments."
