EC postpones IPAC meeting
The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting scheduled for Friday 22 May, 2015 has been postponed.
The electoral body said the cancellation of the meeting was due to “the unfortunate death of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Regional Chairman for the Upper East” Adams Mahama.
Mahama died from an acid attack on him Wednesday night near his residence.
In a statement signed by Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, Amadu Sulley said, “A new date will be announced later. The Commission deeply regrets any inconvenience the postponement might cause,”
The meeting was to address issues raised by the political parties and pressure groups over the continuous registration of voters and transfer process.
