Berdych hoping to right past slam wrongs against Murray

Tomas Berdych is out to right past grand-slam wrongs against Andy Murray in the Wimbledon semi-finals.

Murray defeated Berdych in the semi-finals of the 2012 US Open en route to his first major title, and also bested the Czech in the last four of the 2015 Australian Open.

On both occasions, Berdych took the first set only to come up short, but the 2010 Wimbledon finalist is grateful for another opportunity against the two-time grand-slam champion.

"Yeah, there were also a couple matches, the one at the US Open, which has been a bit unlucky to me. Also the one we played in Melbourne," he said.

"Yeah, there have been chances as well. I think it will be a really nice opportunity for me to make it happen right here."

Berdych reached the final in 2010, beating Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer along the way, and the 30-year-old hopes that experience can be beneficial against Murray.

"I mean, definitely there are the experiences from 2010 that I will try to look back at," he added.

"But mostly is the fact that that was the first time which I showed myself that I can play well for two weeks.

"I can beat the best guys not only at the beginning of the tournament, but also in the later stages.  That's just the few things that I'm going to try to focus on."
