Terrorists blow selves up to avoid arrest

Boko Haram insurgents in Chad, on Monday, June 29, 2015, reportedly blew themselves up to avoid being arrested by police.

The raid was part of intensified operations against the sect following the twin suicide bombings of June 15 which claimed 34 lives in Chad.

“After an interrogation, a suspect showed us a house for building bombs,” Interior Minister, Abderahim Bireme Hamid told Reuters.

“When we arrived on the scene at 5 a.m. our forces came across the...terrorists who blew themselves up,” he added.

Chad has suffered attacks from Boko Haram due to its border with Nigeria and is part of a multinational force formed to combat the sect.
