Konjuh claimed her maiden WTA title in Nottingham last year and the 18-year-old remains in the hunt for a second tournament success this week after seeing off wildcard Mrdeza 6-3 7-6 (7-5).

Mandy Minella stands in the way of fifth seed Konjuh and a place in the final after the world number 186 from Luxembourg beat Marina Erakovic 7-5 6-4.

Nao Hibino and Polona Hercog will contest the other semi-final following victories over Stefanie Vogele and Kristina Kucova respectively.

Hibino, seeded four, eased to a 6-2 6-2 triumph over the unseeded Swiss, while seventh seed Hercog was a 6-4 6-1 winner over Slovakian Kucova.
