Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah has announced Black Stars starting XI to face the Red Devils of Congo on Friday in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Kumasi
Richard Ofori has been given the nod to keep the post ahead of Atizgi and Joseph Addo.
The defence will revolve around Attamah Laweh who will be in right full back position as the replacement of Harrison Afful who picked up a knock, with Jeffery Schlupp who has made a return to the team for the first time in 2017 being deployed to the left full back, with Daniel Amartey and Jonathan Mensah as the central pair in defence.

Jordan Ayew has returned to the Black Starting line-up after he was left on the bench against Ethiopia in Ghana's AFCON qualifiers in June. The absence of Raphael Dwamena made it obvious for him to be handed a start against Congo and he needs to justify why Kwesi Appiah should always give him the chance to be in the starting line-up.
Asamoah Gyan will captain the Black Stars with his deputy Andre Ayew playing from the left wing and Christian Atsu operating from the right wing which shows the attacking intention of the formation for the match.
Just behind striker Jordan Ayew and Gyan will be the reliable Athletico Madrid offensive midfielder Thomas Partey, while Ebenezer Ofori will start from central midfield, protecting the centre-backs.
