Pocock, 27, was cited for dangerous play after replays revealed he grabbed Chiefs' Michael Leitch around the neck in a maul.

While the Wallabies flanker was not punished during the contest, the citing commissioner decided the incident deserved an off-field red.

The incident was deemed "an act contrary to good sportsmanship", with Pocock now facing a possible suspension.

Brumbies remain top of the Australian Conference after six games on 17 points, four ahead of second-placed Melbourne Rebels, who have a game in hand.
