Mayo, who??took over as the team's starting point guard when Michael Carter-Williams went down with a season-ending injury, broke the ankle while??accidentally tripping??down the??stairs at his home.
Surgery is a possibility for Mayo, according to reports.
The 28-year-old??is in the final season of his three-year contract??he signed with the Bucks in 2013.
Despite playing heavy minutes, Mayo is averaging just 7.8 points this season. However, his steals and assists numbers have improved from last campaign.??
