Cheetahs forward Lood de Jager has agreed a one-year deal with the Bulls and will move to their Super Rugby rivals in November.

Springboks second row Lood de Jager will represent Bulls in Super Rugby next season after agreeing a switch from Cheetahs on Tuesday.

South Africa's player of the year for 2015 has signed a 12-month deal after impressing in his 40 domestic matches in the current campaign.

De Jager will officially become a Bulls player on November 1 and is looking forward to the new challenge that awaits him in Pretoria.

"I am pretty excited about my future with the Bulls and what they want to achieve in future," said the 23-year-old.

"That said, I am still committed to the Cheetahs till the end of the season and will give my all in playing for them.

"They have been instrumental in the way my career developed and I want to thank them in the best way possible – by giving my all every time I take to the field for the Cheetahs."

De Jager made his international bow in 2014 and has 20 caps to his name, scoring three tries.
