Akonnor, whose tactics dominated his counterpart, J.E. Sarpong said he was happy to win but his concern was more about how his team's progress saying after the game:

“We are very happy with the result. We played very well in the first half, we dominated the game, we had chances to score at least two goals. Unfortunately we didn't and so we are very impressed with the first half. We were not happy with the second half and we need to improve".

The Kweiman based side, is a youth dominated club and Akonnor reckons that his players must keep learning to achieve optimum performance.

"As you know we are a new team, a newly promoted team and so the tendency of inexperience and so we are learning. We are not the best and so we believe that if we go back to the dressing room or the classroom again as I always say, we will correct our mistakes. We will talk about it, a very open discussion and look forward to the coming game," he continued.

Dreams played to a tactical pattern which helped them dominate and contain Dwarfs. Their gradual buildup of ball possession from defense to attack, calculated passes and movement and their overall cohesion. The question to Akonnor was if that is their style of football.

“That is how we play. We are not interested in kicking the ball in the air and that is what we did in the second half and so that didn't help us in the second half. But our philosophy is a strong midfield play and then attack and we have to put the ball down and that's what we did in the first half" the former Black Stars captain revealed.

Akonnor also revealed they have a modest target for the season. "I've always said we are a new team, inexperience, we don't know much and so we will be very very happy to stay in the league. Whatever comes aside that will be a bonus" he opined.
