Coulter-Nile facing battle to make World T20

Nathan Coulter-Nile will undergo an eight to 12 weeks of rehabilitation on his injured shoulder, making him a doubt for the World T20.

Australia seamer Nathan Coulter-Nile will not require surgery on his shoulder injury, but faces a race against time to regain fitness ahead of the ICC World Twenty20.

Coulter-Nile dislocated his shoulder playing for Perth Scorchers in a Big Bash League match against Adelaide Strikers last week, forcing him to withdraw from Australia's Test squad to face West Indies in Melbourne.

The Scorchers provided an update on the 28-year-old's fitness on Monday, which read: "Medical staff in consultation with shoulder specialists have decided that Coulter-Nile will avoid surgery and rehabilitate his injured shoulder conservatively over the next eight to 12 weeks.

"Coulter-Nile will rehabilitate his shoulder in WA [Western Australia] with an aim of being available for selection for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup in India in March 2016."

Australia selected Coulter-Nile for their last T20 outing, against England at Cardiff in August.
