She pledged to work “passionately for the party so that we can come to power. We have to be part of decision making and nothing has changed.”

Ms Nkrumah who was very confident of winning the CPP flagbeareship race was floored by her closest contender, Ivor Greenstreet who secured more than 60% of the total votes cast.

Although the daughter of Ghana’s first President has alleged vote buying, she has given indications that she will not challenge the results.

Speaking to Joy FM on Sunday, the former Jomoro Member of Parliament said she is currently exploring her options in order to decide in what capacity she can serve the party.

“There are various options on the table and we are still discussing them; either Parliamentary or to serve the party in any other capacity,” she said.

According to her, the CPP is focused and very optimistic in winning the November elections.
