Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce says the signing of Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp and other January signings are now paying off for the club.

In total, Palace spent £39m in January, more than any other Premier League club, and Allardyce says the new signings have pushed other squad members while also increasing the all-round quality of the team.

Speaking after their 2-0 win over West Brom, Allardyce said: "I also said that the new players would make a difference, and that's certainly the case. [Mamadou] Sakho, Luka [Milivojevic], [Patrick] Van Aanholt, [Jeffrey] Schlupp when he came on, they have told the rest of the lad that this squad has more quality, and that quality is starting to pay off.

"I think the new signings have lifted the rest of the players."
