Executives of the New Patriotic Party in Clottey Korley constituency have indicated their intention to push for the suspension Lawyer Philip Addison who was one of the parliamentary aspirants in the constituency.
The executives claim Mr. Addisson alongside another aspirant Nii Adjie Tawiah are in breach of the party constitution by going to court to challenge the outcome of the parliamentary primaries held in August when the appropriate structure party is handling the issue.
The two defeated New Patriotic Party Parliamentary aspirants in the Klottey Korle constituency of the Greater Region filed a fresh suit at the High Court praying it to order a rerun of election in the constituency.
According to them the process which elected Nii Noi Nortey was illegal and unconstitutional. Their suit comes months after they gave the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) a seven day ultimatum to address their concerns.
But Clottey Korley constituency vice chairman of the NPP Alhaji Alui Kabey says they will soon send their petition to the national executive for action to be taken on the two.
