Roof of Korle Bu Medical block tower ripped off

Rainstorm on Monday dawn has ripped off the roofing of the tower section of the Korle Bu Medical block.

No casualties has so far been recorded, except for the offices at the second floor which were largely affected.

The Renal unit which is also within the tower was not affected and will continue to offer services to its clients.

Cost of the damage not estimated yet.

Meanwhile, the hospital says it has began works to re-roof the tower.

It has called on its key stakeholders to cooperate and support it deal with the situation.
