Division One League clubs call for suspension of MTN FA Cup over lack of transparency in sponsorship money

The MTN FA Cup is set to kick-off for the season, but the clubs are yet to briefed about the amount involved in the MTN sponsorship.

Division One clubs have signed a petition calling for the MTN FA Cup to be suspended until clubs are made aware of the MTN sponsorship money.

"An immediate suspension of the MTN FA Cup competition. A full disclosure of the MTN sponsorship agreement.

“A consultative meeting with your good self and the Executive Council to fashion how much each participant will be entitled to." part of the petition read.

The round of 64 matches will be played between 24-27 January, 2020 across the country.
