The Vice President of Ghana Dr Mahamudu Bawuma on Thursday (March 23, 2017) paid a working visit to the Passport Office in Accra.

His visit was to observe operations at the facility.

Many Ghanaians often complain about the time they spend in acquiring a passport. They claim it takes them more months than stipulated for them to acquire their documents.

Most people also complain about the tips they need to give to the staff of the Passport Office before they receive their passports.

He also interacted with Deputy Director of Passport, Accra regional office Samuel Ofosu Boateng.

This is not the first time Dr Bawumia is paying a visit to a government agency. This is the third government agency he is paying an unannounced visit to.

In January, the Vice President visited the Ports and Harbours Authority and the Registrar General’s Department.

Dr Bawumia is also expected to visit the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC) in Accra.
