Eagles sign Sam Bradford to two-year deal

The Eagles made the announced on Tuesday, and although financial details were not disclosed, Bradford is reportedly set to earn $36million, including $26m guaranteed through to the 2017 NFL season.

Just two days earlier, the Eagles upped their offer to Bradford with the hope of signing him to a multi-year deal before the start of free agency.

The 28-year-old was set to become a free agent March 9 if he did not sign a deal or receive a franchise/transition tag from Philadelphia.

Bradford, a former number one pick of the St Louis Rams in the 2010 NFL Draft, was not a total disappointment for the Eagles last season, throwing for 3,725 yards and 19 touchdowns with 14 interceptions in 14 games.

Before that, Bradford missed all of 2014 and half of 2013 with two ACL tears. He sat out 41 games in his five years with the Rams and two games with the Eagles due to a separated shoulder and concussion suffered in November.

If he gets hurt again, however, the Eagles still have Mark Sanchez to fill in under centre.
