Head coach Jones has given a strong hint over his selection for the Six Nations opener against Scotland at Murrayfield on February 6 by trimming his squad for the remainder of England's training camp this week.

Uncapped trio Jack Clifford, Paul Hill and Ollie Devoto are among the 23 players who will remain at the Pennyhill Park training base.

But Josh Beaumont, Luke Cowan-Dickie, Maro Itoje, Matt Kvesic and Matt Mullan were told they could return to their clubs on Tuesday.

Henry Thomas, Elliot Daly, Sam Hill, Semesa Rokoduguni and Marland Yarde were also released by Jones, but the 10 players will link up with the England squad again on Sunday.
