President John Mahama has said he is not perturbed by the number of criticism coming from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) because their forefather did same to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

The President said this when he addressed a campaign rally in the Volta region as part of his campaign tour.

The NPP has over the years criticised the Mahama-led government over how the NDC have governed the country so far. President Mahama likened his situation to that of Ghana’s first president Kwame Nkrumah’s government where UP party was always criticising the government of the day.

The UP government metamorphosed years later into the NPP.

Meanwhile President Mahama said in an interview with Ovation Magazine that the Presidential Candidate for the NPP Nana Akuffo-Addo has been running away from a one-on-one debate with him (President Mahama) on issues surrounding his term in office.
