NDC close nominations today ahead of primaries

Nominations for the November 7, 2015 presidential and parliamentary primaries of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) are scheduled to close today, September 10.

The nominations were opened nationwide on Thursday, August 27 with most of the sitting members of parliament bent on seeking re-election in the parliamentary race.

The nominations also witnessed some new faces contesting in the upcoming primaries.

President John Mahama, who is the leader of the party, is the only member to have been officially recognised for the presidential race.

Most of the interested parliamentary aspirants are expected to file their nomination forms today.
