The former parliamentarian for Tano North constituency in the Brong Ahafo Region died at the age of 69 at his private residence at Adenta, in Greater Accra.

A former minister in the erstwhile Kufuor administration, Ernest Akobuor Debrah, has passed away Wednesday after a short illness.

The wife of the late MP confirmed the news to Accra-based Adom FM.
Mr. Ernest Debrah was born on June 3, 1947, and was the Minister for Agric from February 2005 to January 2009.
He also served as Brong Ahafo and the Northern Regional Minister from February 2001 to January 2004.
