Harlequins sign Beau Robinson
Harlequins have completed the signing of New South Wales Country Eagles back-row Beau Robinson until the end of the season after Netani Talei suffered a knee injury.
Fiji international Talei is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines, meaning the Premiership side have been given the green light to bring in 29-year-old former Reds man Robinson - who won his solitary Australia cap in 2011 - as "injury dispensation cover", according to a statement on the club website.
"We are delighted to able to bring in someone of Beau's ability at such short notice," Quins director of rugby Conor O'Shea said.
"We are looking forward to welcoming him to Harlequins, helping him settle into London life and see him make a big impact for the club for the rest of the season."
Robinson played his part in Queensland's Super Rugby triumph in 2011 and is eyeing more glory with Quins.
"I'm excited to have joined Harlequins and to be presented with the opportunity to play alongside some world class players." he said.
"I'm looking forward to helping the Club push for honours in both the Aviva Premiership and the European Challenge Cup."
