Frida Hansdotter remains top of the slalom standings, but Nina Loseth was the victor in Santa Caterina for her first FIS World Cup win.

Nina Loseth dominated the field to win an FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup race for the first time in her career in the women's slalom meet in Santa Caterina on Tuesday.

The Norwegian had finished on the podium on three previous occasions without ever taking the top spot.

However, Loseth clocked the fastest time on both runs on the Italian slopes to take the maximum 100 points and move sixth in the slalom standings.

Loseth clocked a 58.70 seconds on her first attempt, and produced a 58.95secs on the second run for a combined winning time of one minute and 57.65secs.

Sarka Strachova was over a second back to finish runner-up, while Veronika Velez Zuzulova - 13th after the first run - claimed third.

Frida Hansdotter, who leads the slalom standings, finished fifth and leapfrogged Lindsey Vonn into second in the overall leaderboard.
