After Manny Pacquiao came under fire for anti-homosexual comments, Floyd Mayweather Jr voiced his approval of gay marriage.

Pacquiao's comments drew criticism when he said: "If men mate with men and women mate with women they are worse than animals" during a campaign to be elected to the Philippines' Senate on Monday.

When asked if Mayweather shared those same sentiments, the undefeated boxing champion said he was all for gay marriage.

"I think we should all stay positive," Mayweather told TMZ. "I feel that we should let people live their lives the way they want to live their lives. I have nothing against anyone. To each his own."

Pacquiao later apologised on Tuesday.
