The "Fight of the Century" generated 4.4 million U.S. PPV buys and more than $400million in domestic revenue, shattering previous records.

The numbers are in and the Fight of the Century delivered.

Official PPV buys in the U.S.: 4.4 million. Total domestic revenue: more than $400m.

That makes the fight, which Mayweather won by decision, the highest-grossing pay-per-view event of all time, HBO said in a news release.

Add to that, the all-time live gate record of "more than $71m" from the sale of just more than 16,200 tickets at the MGM Grand.
