Referees to be monitored by hired observers

Referees have come under massive criticisms and have therefore suffered all kinds of physical abuses by agitated home fans.

Although, stiffer punishments have been meted out to offenders, being it referees or home teams, little has changed.

The GFA has decided to tackle it from the area of officiating by ensuring that referees are monitored closely in the course of discharging their duties or involved in anything that might affect his sense of judgement.

The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi  Nyantakyi said it at the one-day seminar aimed at reviewing the 2015/16 season held at the University of Ghana, Legon.
