Edward Bawa of the Ministry of Energy however insisted that “It was not because of indebtedness.”
Gas from Nigeria through the West African Pipeline Company (WAPco) is used to power thermal plants at the Tema power enclave.
The West African Gas Pipeline Company had developed a fault early this morning and will be repaired, the Edward Bawa added.
He said the gas supply has since been restored and gas is “flowing normally as we speak.”
