The veteran trainer criticised his players for lacking fighting spirit in their 3-1 loss to Ebusua Dwarfs last weekend, but was happy with their performance on Sunday.
“The result is not surprising. The boys didn't even play to the limit I expected, but at least they showed determination to win," the former Hearts of Oak boss told reporters after the game.
Inter Allies created numerous chances and could have won by a wider margin, but they fluffed their lines in the final third of the pitch.
Herbert Addo explained that the boys were erratic because they were in haste.
"They were erratic because they are in haste at times.
"We could have scored more, but I am happy with their performance. We had chances, they (opponents) also had theirs but they couldn't take them. It was a good exercise for us." he added.
The Eleven Is To One shipped in six goals in two games against Hearts of Oak and Ebusua Dwarfs, but were able to keep a clean sheet for the first time in five games.
However, Herbert Addo remained unsatisfied saying:
"I am never satisfied with the performance of the defenders. We are working to limit the chances we give to opponents. Last week we conceded 3 goals, we worked on it and kept a clean sheet today, our next match we are going away and we hope the performance today will continue, though we need to strengthen all departments in the team."
