Prof. Mintah who is regarded as one of the best coaches in Ghana left the Cape Coast based club three seasons ago and he has since not involved himself in club football.

With his former club currently struggling in the domestic top-fight after suffering back to back defeats to Dreams FC and New Edubiase, the head coach of the side JE Sarpong has threatened to resign.

Reports emanating from the local media suggest that the Cape Coast based club have targeted Prof. Mintah to take over the club’s coaching job should Sarpong quit his position.

But the Black Stars psychologist who is also a lecturer at the University of Cape Coast has ruled out a return to club football in Ghana.

“I will not return to Dwarfs, I have worked with them in the past and I must move forward as a person,” Prof. Mintah told Happy FM.

“I’m not returning to Dwarfs or any other club in Ghana, I’m not interested in coaching a club in Ghana, I have to concentrate on what I’m doing currently and that is what I can say,” he added.

Dwarfs are currently at the 14 position with no point in two games and their next premier league game is at home against Hearts of Oak.
