Kotoko to compensate players involved in road accident

The new management of the Porcupine Warriors has decided to compensate the playing and technical team members who were involved in last year’s road accident.

Asante Kotoko management have agreed to compensate both the technical team and the playing body involved in the team’s road accident last year.

Last year, Asante Kotoko suffered a road accident on the Nkwakaw-Kumasi High way while returning from a league game against Inter Allies in Accra.

Thomas Asare, the deputy Kit and Equipment officer of the team lost his life and several others sustained various degree of injuries.

The new management team of Asante Kotoko headed by George Amoako has decided to compensate those who were involved in the accident to help coil the murmuring among a section of the team over the issue.

It has been reported that each of the members involved will receive GHC 1,000, but the PRO of the management team of the club Sarfo Duku has rubbished it, saying although, they have agreed on a compensation package, he will not confirm the amount.
